Brisket King 2017 Tickets on Sale, with Early Bird Prices Ending March 1
Tickets are now on sale for Brisket King NYC, an annual celebration of beef, booze, and good times that will leave you full like no other. This year's event takes place from 6:30-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19 in Fort Greene, Brooklyn and it will feature BBQ expert and journalist Daniel Vaughn.
If you're already a fan of the event or highly curious, early bird pricing ($65) ends on March 1. If you don't make the early bird deadline, the price goes up to $90, so you'll want to act quickly. (I already have my ticket!) There's also a $1,000 VIP ticket that covers six people and gives your own "private table."
Brisket King is one of my favorite annual BBQ events in the city, not only because I love brisket, but also because it brings many of New York's finest pitmasters together in the same room. It's also a fun challenge to see how much brisket I can eat in one evening.
Last year, New York's kosher BBQ kings, Ari White (pictured far right in the above photo) and Sruli "Izzy" Eidelman (left of White), earned 1st and 2nd place in the event's competition. White was crowned the brisket king last year, but I can confirm both of their briskets were outstanding. Izzy told me recently that he will be competing and Ari will be there but not competing, per Brisket King tradition.
