One annual event I most look forward to is Brisket King NYC, a showcase of barbecue talent from New York and beyond, all focused on making succulent brisket bites. The event, hosted by Food Karma Projects, will once again return on April 17, 2024, at Pig Beach BBQ in Queens.

Some of the newer names to watch this year include Tio Rozay’s BBQ, The Meat Truck, Eazy’s Craft Barbecue, Smoke Sweats, Smoke & Fire, and Iron and Oak Catering. But of course, you also can’t forget about established heavy hitters like Blue Smoke, Kimchi Smoke, Hindsight BBQ, and Morgan’s Brooklyn BBQ. Regardless, it's all going to be good.

On top of brisket dishes, attendees will also be able to enjoy beer and whiskey from artisans like Bubba's Secret Stills, Michter's, Brooklyn’s Fort Hamilton Distillery, NY Distilling, Romilly Hard Cider, and craft beer by Ramstein Beer.

Be sure to keep an eye out for newer competitors like Eazy's Craft Barbecue. (Photo by Sean Ludwig)
