The final Vendy Awards will showcase many of the best street vendors in NYC.
The 15th Annual Vendy Awards, a fundraiser for the Street Vendor Project, will take place on Governors Island on Saturday, September 21. This will be the final Vendy Awards ever.
During the event, 25 of NYC's best street vendors, nominated by the public, will go head-to-head and compete for the ultimate prize — The Vendy Cup! Tickets include unlimited food and drink.
Vendors include:
NY Dosa: South India’s vegetarian crêpes
Tony Dragon’s Grille: Greek and Mediterranean sandwiches, gyros, and more
King of Falafel and Shawarma: Halal food
Patacon Pisao: Venezuelan dishes made with plantains called patacon
The Cinnamon Snail: Vegan bites
King Souvlaki: Greek sandwiches and gyro platters
Harlem Seafood Soul: Soul food like fish and chips, and shrimp and grits
Nansense: Afghan comfort foods
Mysttik Masaala: Indian cuisine like chicken biryani
Lechonera La Piraña: Puerto Rican staples
Guandong Cheong Fun: Southern Chinese comfort food
Nuchas: Varied foods ranging from empanadas to shrimp jambalaya
The Arepa Lady: Colombian arepas
Chef Samir: Traditional Moroccan food
Beefrria-Landia: Beef birria tacos and tostadas
Antojitos Doña Fela: Peruvian tamales, empanadas, and ceviche
Kingston Food Truck: Jamaican grilled meats and plates
