Manhattan's Pig Bleecker To Close At The End Of February

Pig Bleecker, located in Manhattan’s West Village, will soon close after being open for more than 2 years.

Pig Bleecker, a West Village-based restaurant that cleverly experimented with American barbecue and pushed it in new directions, has announced it will close on Sunday, February 24.

“It's with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Pig Bleecker at the end of the month,” the restaurant wrote on Instagram today. “We are proud of what we have accomplished in the last two years and are so grateful to everyone who has supported us. This is definitely not the end, just the beginning, so stay tuned & follow our sister account @pigbeachnyc for updates.”

Chef Matt Abdoo, who has been a culinary force here in NYC, opened Pig Bleecker with a few business partners in January 2017 after successfully putting Brooklyn’s Pig Beach on the map. Pig Bleecker excelled at inventive items like brisket ravioli, smoked and fried chicken, BBQ duck lasagna, and a fantastic burger.

If you want to enjoy some of the great items at Pig Bleecker before they close, you can make a reservation here. If you don’t make it before the close, you’ll still be able to try some of Abdoo’s barbecue creations over at Pig Beach, which is one of top barbecue joints in the city.
